FR5CGK-13
FR5CGK-14

When the kart leaves the factory, the power supply is disconnected. I need to first connect the power supply, and the operation steps are as follows:

  1. First, unscrew the four fixing screws on the front cover marked by the circle in Figure 1, and remove the front cover
  2. Find the battery power cord, insert it and fix it in the port of the battery pack, as shown in Figure 2 above,
  3. Replace the front cover and tighten the screws

Note: These steps must be completed by adults!

Key switch

FR5CGK-15

The power switch is on the right side of the driver. Turning the key in the “ON” direction turns on the power, and turning the key in the “OFF” direction turns off the power

Acceleration and braking

FR5CGK-16

As shown in the above figure: The brake handle is on the driver’s left hand, holding the steering wheel with the palm and thumb, holding the handle with the fingers, and applying force from the fingers will cause the handle to move upwards, resulting in braking force on the go-kart.

Attention: During high-speed driving, attention should be paid to avoiding emergency braking as much as possible, as this may cause the vehicle to lose control.

The acceleration handle is on the driver’s right hand side, and its operation method is the same as the brake handle. Moving the handle upwards will increase the power of the go-kart. Attention: Do not quickly pull the handle to the limit, as this will cause the vehicle to receive a lot of power. The vehicle will quickly move forward, causing the driver to lose balance and cause the vehicle to lose control, causing danger

Gear switch

FR5CGK-17

when the gear switch is placed in the (H) position, the vehicle can attain its maximum speed. When the gear switch is placed in the (M) position, the vehicle will go half-speed. When the gear switch is placed in the (L) position, the vehicle will be at its slowest speed.

Forward/reverse switch

FR5CGK-18

when the forward/reverse switch is in the (Forward) position, the vehicle will go forwards. When the forward/reverse switch is in the (Reverse) position, the vehicle will go backwards. When the forward/reverse switch is placed in the middle position, the vehicle stops

Battery Charging

The battery capacity of Overjump/FR5CGK is 36V12AH, consisting of three series connected 12V12AH batteries. The battery running time may vary due to various factors, such as riding conditions, rider’s weight, climate, tire pressure, etc. To maximize the battery life of go karts, they should be charged after each ride.

⚠ WARNING

1.The battery pack of this vehicle is a lead-acid battery. After replacing the battery pack, it must be recycled and disposed of

  1. 2.Only use the battery(ies) specified by the manufacturer.
  2. 3.Only use the charger(s) specified by the manufacturer.
  3. 4.The battery is not replaceable.

Charging steps:

  1. Find the kart charger(Charger Parameters: Input: AC 100–240V~50/60Hz Max, 1.6A ,Output: DC 43.2V-1.5A)
  2. Insert the charger into the charging port, making sure to align it correctly with the socket. The plug should slide into the socket and do not use excessive force
  3. Insert the charger into the wall socket. If the light on the charger is not on, please check the power supply of the socket. If necessary, please replace the power supply with a new socket

Charging precautions

  1. The charging operation must be completed by adults
  2. Before charging, please confirm that the parking function of go-karthas been enabled,
  3. Turn off the power of go-kartbefore charging
  4. Please use the recommended charger. The go-kartuses 36V12AH lead-acid battery pack. If you use an unmatched charger, you may not be able to charge or damage electrical components
  5. Do not operate the charger near flammable materials
  6. Do not charge indoors to avoid a fire
  7. When the go-kart is fully charged, please unplug the charger and disconnect it from the go-kart to ensure the safety of the charger.
  8. The charger is not waterproof and should not be used in wet conditions. May cause accidents.

⚠ WARNING

Note: Accurately grasp the charging time – During use, accurately grasp the charging time based on the actual situation (approximately 8-9 hours after fully discharging), and refer to normal usage frequency and driving distance. If the battery is discharged lightly (with a short driving distance after charging), it will quickly become fully charged. If charging continues, overcharging will occur, causing the battery to heat up and shortening its

lifespan. Therefore, when the discharge depth is 60% -70%, it is best to

charge the battery once. In practical use, it can be converted into cycling mileage. Necessary charging should be carried out according to the actual situation to avoid harmful charging.

It is strictly prohibited to store batteries in a low power state. Low battery state refers to the failure of the battery to charge in a timely manner after use. When the battery is stored in an undercharged state, it is prone to sulfation. Lead sulfate crystals adhere to the electrode plate, blocking the ion channel, resulting in insufficient charging and a decrease in battery capacity. The longer the idle time in a low power state, the more serious the situation of battery damage. Therefore, when the battery is idle, it should be charged once a month to better maintain its health

Precautions for battery replacement:

  1. It must be a battery pack of the same voltage and capacity,
  2. The battery is a lead-acid battery that must be recycled and disposed of after replacement

BRAKES

This go-kart is equipped with wired disc brakes

Not inspecting the front brakes before each use can be dangerous.

Inspect the front brakes before each operation as per the pre- departure checklist, make sure you follow the servicing schedule and procedures

Brake system inspection:

  1. Check if the brake handle is too loose,
  2. Check if the brake cable is stuck
  3. Check whether the brake pads are excessively worn

Brake cable adjustment:

FR5CGK-19
  1. Open the rear plastic shell
  2. Loosen the screw indicated by the arrow in the left figure
  3. Adjust the brake cable to the appropriate position
  4. Tighten the screws (note that the brake power off switch is in a pressed state)

Brake Calliper adjustment

FR5CGK-20

FR5CGK’s calliper position can be adjusted. Adjust the position with the bolt in the circle as shown above. Loosen the bolt to adjust the upper and lower position of the calliper. Pay attention to observe whether the brake pad at the arrow can completely embrace the disc brake pad or whether the disc brake pad interferes with the calliper. Lock the bolt after adjustment.

Chain adjustment

Failure to inspect the drive chain slack before each use of the Karting could be hazardous (Chain tension relaxation should be 5-10MM). Too much chain slack could cause the chain to come off the sprockets, resulting in an accident or serious damage to the Karting.

Adjustment steps

FR5CGK-21
  1. Remove both rear wheels
  2. Loosen the bolt indicated by the arrow
  3. Adjust the position of the rear axle (sprocket) until the chain tension is appropriate
  4. Lock the bolt (at this time, pay attention to keeping the rear axle parallel)
  5. Reinstall the tire

TYRES

FR5CGK-22

Inspect the tyres before each outing, this should include the following elements:

  1. Inspect for cracks or leaks
  2. Inspect the depth of the tread. If the tread depth is less than 0.16 in. (4mm), replace the tyre.
  3. Check the tyre pressure. An incorrect tyre pressure can affect the manoeuvrability, operator comfort, direction and lifespan of the tyres.

Tyre pressure 15 psi Rear tyres: 15 psi
Tyre size 4.10-4NHS Rear tyres: 4 .10-4NHS

Tyre replacement

Always replace the tyres by their type and size indicated in this manual.

Always use the correct tools when replacing the tyres. The bead and sometimes the rim can be damaged when using the wrong type of tools. It is usually best to have the tyres replaced by an authorised service centre. Service centres have the correct equipment and expertise to change the tyres without causing damage. Tyre punctures can usually be repaired using plug-type patches. Plug-type patches cannot repair tyres that have been cut. If the tyre has been cut or has a puncture in a place or size that cannot be repaired, replace the tyre.

WASHING THE KART

  1. Clean off mud and dirt from the Kart with low pressure water from a hose.
  2. Wash the Kart with a mild detergent or car soap using a sponge, a soft
